Summary of Job Description:

The Sr. Payroll Analyst (Workday) is responsible for implementation of the Workday Payroll system, ensuring effective payroll administration, data integrity and process efficiency. This position analyzes, administers, and troubleshoots the Workday Payroll system, working with accounting/finance and HRIS associates to identify appropriate enhancements, modifications, and corrections for process improvement. The Sr. Payroll Analyst collaborates with Accounting/Finance, IT, HRIS, and other stakeholders to support, maintain, and optimize our payroll accounting operations. This position compiles data analysis and research to help determine the efficacy and compliance of the company’s Workday Payroll technology and identify potential new enhancements.


You’ll get a chance to:

  • Responsible for implementation of the Workday Payroll system, ensuring effective payroll administration, data integrity and HCM process efficiency. 
  • Configure and manage the Workday payroll system according to organization needs, including setting up pay groups, earning codes, deduction codes, creating time entry templates and time calculations, year-end reporting, and other payroll elements.  
  • Analyze and identify data integrity issues surrounding the payroll process and provides solutions. 
  • Support all internal and external audits related to payroll. 
  • Help administer and ensure the overall integrity of payroll data in Workday.
  • Compile data and write, analyze, and generate a variety of reports from Workday. 
  • Complete analysis reports as needed for management that provide insights into payroll activities, tax deductions, and compliance issues. 
  • This also includes custom reporting for specific needs and assisting in financial audit or budget reviews related to payroll. 
  • Collaborate with Accounting/Finance, IT, HRIS, and other stakeholders to support, maintain, and optimize our payroll accounting operations.
  • Lead projects related to payroll system implementations, updates, testing of new releases, or other payroll related initiatives. 
  • Assist the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) team with the development of system requirements, process designs, detailed business activities and data mapping to support the maintenance of the time clocks and payroll system. 
  • Provide Workday Payroll subject matter expertise for day-to-day analysis, reconciliation, and processing. Assists in researching inquiries and providing professional customer service as well as discussing process improvements and potential enhancements.

Your background and experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum five years of experience in implementing and configuring Workday functionality.
  • Successful completion of initial and periodically required trainings.
  • Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.

Pay Range P3: $90,000 - $126,500 / Annual
* Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors, including work location and experience.
